A little funny to start the morning.

I had a nice afternoon with my aunt.  As per usual with her ... lots of laughs.  Shopping was a success.  I found a trinket dish for a birthday gift for a girlfriend who is VERY hard to find a gift.  Over the years, I've exhausted my ideas and it's getting harder and harder to come up with something without repeating.  She enjoys her church and this reminded me of her.  I'll add a couple of girly things (hand cream, etc) and call it a gift or ... heading to The Container Store today ... I'll put it in a keepsake box.

I found a goodie for myself too.  Green is my new favorite color in decor and I love circles.  This wasn't expensive and it's fun.  Not sure exactly where to put it.  It's sharing space on my coffee table currently, but hubby will fuss over that when he gets home.  He likes to eat in front of the TV and use that side for food.  It reminds me of sugar cookie dough.

My second pair of shoes came, but I thought I ordered a third pair.  Now I can't remember ... hmmmm.  I'll have to check.  They fit and I like the style.  More on both once I figure out if I'm waiting for another pair :)  Here's a sneak peak.  I'll try them on with pictures once I have this worked out.

UPDATE:  There IS another pair from David's Bridal (I thought I ordered 2).  It's on backorder for a couple of weeks.

I heard back from the vintage clutch vendor (funny enough) and she said the latch isn't broken, but it doesn't latch.  I already found my bag and that one was pricy and I need something that latches.  Oh well.

I'm lunching with one of my favorite girlfriends today and then a run to The Container Store (which is always fun).  I have to return a couple packs of screws that were over-ordered from the pantry.  I wasn't going to bother (we can always use screws), but I have to get wrapping paper and gift boxes.  I like The Container Store's wrapping paper for special occasions and you can find any size box you need.

Still working on keeping my head above the murky waters and holding a good attitude.  Coaching call tomorrow.  I'm curious where that will head given my wonky mood -- family drama is kicking it hard lately.  Rain, world news, politics ... the heavy doesn't end.  Negative loops running in my mind again about family stuff.  It's frustrating.  Before I go down THIS rabbit hole, I'll say good-bye and have a great day.  Later gators.
