Want Some Woo Woo??

Here's an update on the book E Squared (Pam Grout).   If woo woo isn't your thing ... this story is NOT for you.  It's a bit long, but oh so good.

The author's premise is the Universe, God, Mother Nature -- whatever name you want to use, is ENERGY.  It's abundant and limitless.  She compares it to the energy of electricity.  When you plug in a hair dryer you don't wonder if there is enough energy.  You don't ask if you are worthy of the energy to run the hair dryer.  It has nothing to do with "am I good enough" or "am I taking from someone more worthy."  Limitless, abundant and with no conditions -- there for the taking.

The book is a set of 9 experiments to prove that this ENERGY is available to everyone -- just for the asking.

Each experiment is is less than 48 hours long and all you need to do ask.

I did the first experiment.  Name a start time (Monday 7 pm) and an end time 48 hours later (Wednesday 7 pm) and ask for a gift -- something that can't be chucked up to coincidence and something that is obvious to you as a gift.  Some people received cards, note, phone call from an old friends.  A women had a friend leave a gift on her car.  Someone won a trip.  Some are more subtle.  A connection with a random stranger (this one makes me question a little though -- but she felt it was a gift).  Your only job is to LOOK for the GIFT that is meant for YOU.

Anyway.  Nothing happened Tuesday.  Wednesday morning I was struggling with a family situation and meditating asking for help in how to respond.  Long story, but it's been a big part of my mood lately.  I finished and decided to pack up my BIL gift box.  As I was packing, I thought about adding books to the box for my sister.  I searched my newly unorganized shelves (from the office move) and couldn't find a book.  I noticed a small book on the bottom shelf with a bookmark.  "Guess I didn't finish that book."  But I got curious and went back to see why I bookmarked it.  Marianne Williamson's, Everyday Grace with a bookmark on chapter 4 (yep, never finished it).  The bookmark is a LADYBUG (my sign for "answers").  The chapter was the perfect answer for what I had asked (thanks, Universe BTW).

I wondered if that was my GIFT.  It's a great sign but something that wasn't new -- ladybugs are "my" thing.  I've had this ladybug gift before (which is awesome -- not trying to discredit this message at all).  I said aloud, ummmm I would've preferred a surprise gift on my front porch - hah, but I guess this counts.

Showered, left for errands, drove to meet a friend for lunch, arrived early, checked my phone.  Here is the text from my neighbor (and friend).

BTW -- here's the gift.  It's a beautiful book.

Come on ... I can't make this up!!  Experiment #1 -- DONE.  Holy moly.

I started #2 this morning.  I'm curious and not as confident (wonder if that matters).  Also 48 hours.  The premise is we see what we look for, see what our energy is tuned in to see.  So many "options" are available to us IF we choose to LOOK for them.

First day is something we've all experienced when we get a new car.  Suddenly that car is EVERYWHERE.  Pick a less common color car and notice it today.  I picked yellow.  I can't remember the last time I've seen a yellow car.  On the hunt for one (or more) today.

Tomorrow is pick an object to SEE.  Her example was a yellow butterfly (probably how I picked yellow for my car) or a purple feather.  Then LOOK.  You will find that object.  I picked a feather -- any color.  It can be that object or a picture of it (like with the ladybugs).  Someone picked yellow butterflies in the middle of winter and she found them on a paper party plate that day.

This is FUN and I'm still surprised about the gift on my porch.  I don't read ahead -- concentrating on one experiment at a time.  Stay tuned ...
