Youngest to the Rescue

My son came over and did the cooking (supervised, of course).

When we finished the mac & cheese, I started to comment that it's easier than you think -- before I could, he said -- wow, that's hard ... I'll never make that on my own.  LOL.  Perspective.

After cooking we sat and had a drink (for medicinal purposes -- my back) and watched A Quiet Place.  I recorded it, but had watched it before.  He hadn't seen it but we both like "Jim" and it's a quick movie.

It was a nice afternoon.

Eldest came over with the dogs and PJ LOVED them all.  Especially DIL and the chihuahua -- no dog has ever "loved" the chihuahua (every dog loves the DIL).  It was funny to watch both of them.  Because we had a pack of dogs (5), PJ pooped on the grass and took an actual walk outside -- can't fight the pack mentality.  It was amazing to watch.  Go PJ!  He's heading to the vet tomorrow for his skin problem.

My back is still bad.  UGH and UGH.  I have to cancel circuit training class tomorrow and shopping with a friend.  The worse part is sitting -- car rides, upright chairs.

I'm going to rest it all day.  Even though I had help yesterday, I know I over did my back.  Sitting around all day = want to eat all day = nothing good.

I need to fish around for a Netflix series to binge.  I started a new book, but can't get moving on it -- maybe day reading will help.

Happy Labor Day.  Later gators.
