Plans Set

Hubby is staying over -- weekend and another week.  Dang.  That said, he's trying to double on weeks home (by using some vacation) so the rotation stays the same.  We'll see if he gets to do it.  This means I have the grand-dogs by myself next week.  Four dogs, one me.  Should be an adventure of sorts - hah.

That solidifies our plans for this weekend.  Sunflower fields (maybe pumpkin picking too) and home for a charcuterie board and HOMEMADE CAKE!!  Fingers crossed.  We'll save the pasta making and Aperol Spritz for a weekend when hubby is home.

Met my girlfriend for walking and we barely walked 15 minutes when she fell.  Turned her ankle and scrapped up her arm, but she's okay.  It's not fun falling as an adult.  We stayed and chatted on chairs.  She brought me some greens from her organic garden -- yum.  Fresh makes such a difference.

I'm hitting the grocery store rotation this morning.  Trader Joe's and Publix.  I plan to take the dogs to a park to walk the sidewalks since it's cool again today unless my back is funky after the store.  Buggers need a change of scenery too.

STILL no monthly and this is a drag.  I want it BEFORE this weekend and I really want the cravings to subside.  It was manageable with nothing "good" in the house, but I'm getting stuff for this weekend and today will be hard.  It's also my active rest day and without that workout push, I get a lot more "snack-ie" in the afternoon.

On a VERY good news front ... I had a Delta call on my to-do list this week.  My $5,000 ticket to Rome was canceled (of course) and, instead of a refund, they issued a year credit.  I submitted for a refund with a 7 day turnaround, but "maybe longer with COVID."  It's been over a month.  I got an email last night -- CREDIT ISSUED.  Woo hoo!!  I think I'm most excited about not having to be on hold with Delta for hours LOL.

Got my tires pumped up at the dealership with no issue yesterday.  They have a quick service line and air pump right there.  They said it was a steady stream of low tires this week.  Also, now I know HOW to do it myself by leaving the car running and THE CAR lets me know how much pressure.  Smart!  I didn't have a dohicky thing that measures pressure.  I just need to write down the pressures for fall tire weather.

Not much progress on books or Hunters yesterday.  It was a full day.  I did read some more of Living Beautifully.  Some resonates a lot -- and some is too much.  Take a vow to not purposely hurt someone -- yep, that's a good one.  Take a vow to never gossip or talk about negatively about someone -- nope, that's too much.  I'm not that "enlightened" LOL.  I get the point though.

I got INFLUENCED yesterday.  Dental floss of all things.  She's a dental hygienist and RAVES about this flavored floss.  CocoFloss.  My go to brand of floss must have changed up (*read got cheap*) and it breaks a lot when I floss -- drives me nuts.  The new floss is some special technology, glides well, but catches food better.  Fun flavors -- I got coconut and peppermint.  (They also have strawberry, orange, chocolate and summer special, watermelon.)  I'll let you know if it's a winner.

I'm looking for a HAPPY day today -- hope you find one too.  Stay well.  Later gators.
