Another Week Begins (aka It's Monday) ...

Let's backtrack to Sunday updates.

I finished Living Beautifully (Pema Chodron) -- the first half was more relatable, but I finished it.

I dove further into Pleasure Activism (Adrienne Maree Brown).  Sometimes I think it's a book on living your best life, being your best self ... and sometimes I think it's a sex book.  The line is blurry, very blurry.  But in the name of reading things outside my usual box, I'll give this a read ;)  I actually think that's the point Brown is making -- it's all connected.

I finished Hunters on Prime.  Wow.  So stinking good.  I have a new list of watchables -- mainly movies or documentaries.  Stay tuned.

By evening I hit a grumpy mood.  All the political garbage and COVID non-believers in our neighborhood got to me (email thread regarding indoor Halloween party).  Spending the upcoming end of the week and weekend dog sitting (therefore stuck at home) got me feeling sorry for myself.  I think I need to crate the grand-pups occasionally so I can have some fun.  5 days with nothing feels daunting when the weather is nice.  I'll problem solve and figure it out.  I love them, but they are all dogs.  I need to come first-ish.  A little crate time (the grand-girls don't mind a crate) should be fine.  Hubby is meeting, in person, with the board today and tomorrow.  This is BIG and I'm nervous about the outcome.  It could go either way.  Lots of "junk" hit my brain just before bed -- nice little slap before I went to sleep.

Good news is sleep "cured" the mood and I'm back to chipper this morning LOL.

Coffee OUT for the first time late morning and I'm nervous.  Outside, social distanced and I'll wear a mask ... but, still.  I should've suggested we hang on my back porch instead.  QuaranTINA is out in force today.  I think I'm the only person I know who hasn't been to a "place" yet.

October is exploring LENTIL month -- in the name of plant based meals with plant protein.  First up, SOUP.  Gathering ingredients this week.  I like the challenge of plant based eating.  I did an entire week and enjoyed the variety.  Soup feels right, but the end of the week has a little heat wave -- maybe this weekend will be better.

Today is day 50 of a 50 day challenge I started to feel better.  I'll write about it this week.  I'm starting another one tomorrow with the same goal and an added emphasis.  I'll overcome my superstition and the big jinx and talk about both.  50 because, you know, I'm 50 and I like numbers.

October has some fun.  Lentils, Peloton and my ring design should be finalized.  Kind of a strange mix, but what's not a little odd these days.

This about sums up my Sunday.  Time to find the happy (people) in this Monday and plan for a fun week.  Stay well.  Later gators.
