My girlfriend first changed the time of coffee and then canceled. Too jet lagged. I completely understand, but last minute cancelations always screw me up and I was disappointed. It was my social "fun" for the week (being home stuck with Rosa).
My big old dog has an ear infection so we're headed to the vet this morning. Hubby decided to golf again today so I'll be homebound after the vet appointment.
I may or may not get to decorating today. The vet appointment and golf might screw that up. I have a hard time getting the Christmas bins down the stairs. They are extra long and I don't have the wing span to hold them while walking downstairs. I need hubby, but he needs ME to tell him which bins (even though they're labeled -- I know, don't ask). Might have to be tomorrow. He's leaving out of town, but I can supervise bins tonight and then decorate tomorrow. Since this is a new house, it's going to take some thinking to get the decorating figured out.
My packages were good, but not picture worthy. A few stocking stuffers, philosophy shower gel, dog meds and a possible dress for the party. I need to try on when hubby isn't home. That I'll keep you posted on that -- pretty please let it work. I get stressed when there's pressure to find an outfit.
I finished Nothing to See Here -- Keven Wilson. It was good, different, fast read. Written from the first person of the lead character and she's funny. Heartwarming at times, life messages ... all in this little story. I'd recommend it. I'm on the hunt for another book.
I started watching Watchman on HBO. Two episodes so far. It's strange. I can't decide if I like it. It's not a binge kind of program. One episode per day is plenty. It's dark and all over the place. I know it's developed from the movie (which came from comics) but I heard the show can be watched independently. Confusing so far, but intriguing enough to want to know what happens. (Have to decide either way before we cut HBO.)
Still "saving" The Crown. That might be good for this weekend when hubby is away. I want to savor the show (not be interrupted on the regular hah).
I have THREE things on the calendar this weekend, but who knows if they are sticking. Exactly NOTHING stuck this week. (1) 5K race and lunch at the winery. (2) Dropping Rosa for adoption. (3) Wreath making with my DIL. I hope it all happens. P.S. It's going to be cold for the 5K -- about 40 degrees. Brrrrr. I'll need to bring a change of clothes for the after race stuff or I'll get super chilly since I sweat no matter the temperature outside.
Life coaching was about life forward for me. Possibly closing the chapter on nursing completely and what comes next. I have some ideas -- things that seem scary and too difficult to imagine happening. My coach sent this to me after our call. Timely message.
