Hello :)
I had a fun night at the wine bottle painting class. My only critique was there was no help with creative ideas for painting. I wanted to do an interesting pattern or something creative, but off the cuff, didn't know what to try. Knowing techniques for patterns and such helps figure out how to do it (which color first, paint over or use this technique, etc). We got direction on prep and then left to our own imagination with whatever paint colors we chose. It's a new class so they don't a lot of samples or tools or ideas.
That said, I like how it turned out. The red label through me off with a color pallet at first. I like a mix of red and pink so I took it that direction for something a little softer. Given it was freehand, flowers are an easy choice. It took the entire 2 hours because of drying times. I wish I had my dotting tools -- I improvised with the tip of a pencil. There were just a couple of sizes of paint brushes.

I like the juxtaposition of soft flowers with the TroubleMaker label. |
The paints are acrylic but the colors are a decorative pallet. My acrylics are all primary-like colors. It would be fun to paint bottles when you bring one to someone's house. I'd need more paint colors because it's too much to mix from my little paint tubes.
Here's my friend's bottle.
I have some FS stuff (worries, fails or "opportunities") that I'll write about soon. Lesson to be careful what you wish for ... but that's a story for another day. I have a lot to do for the Asheville trip and I'm all strung up this morning so best get at it. Taking action is my best anxiety cure.
Later gators.
