Home sweet home -- and back to some summer temps. I already miss the mountain air and open windows.
I finished this and it was a masterpiece. Beautiful book, incredible writing, incredible storyteller.
I watched the ending of Ted Lasso. Season 3 was just okay to me. I thought there were a few strange moments that I still don't really understand -- out of character for the characters and very random. The ending was well done though. Of course, there are whispers of it's not really the series finale. Who knows.
Today is the Master Garden Tour. 5 gardens, 5 gals and lunch :) I'm the driver and cruise director. Prepare your heart for garden pictures (what else is new).
Speaking of garden, the raised garden beds arrived. Let the project begin. First stop -- figure out the sealer. There will be never-ending updates throughout this massive (to me) project ... you are warned.
Also, my garden this year -- some good, some not good. Looks like the painters killed off the side garden with the bleach spray from pressure washing. Dang. Everything else is going strong though. First cucumber growing her little heart out.
Switching gears back to GA was an effort this time. I didn't want to leave. I had a really nice morning yesterday. Peloton for a strong ride and then a walk in North Asheville neighborhood. I stopped at a LFL and randomly picked up this quote from the inspiration jar:
"If we are willing to be still and open enough to listen, wilderness itself will teach us." Steven Harper
Then I headed to the cafe for an outdoor iced tea. I had a couple of nice conversations as I waited. Stopped at Trader Joe's for a few things (heavy bag to walk back though). Ate the leftover cauliflower and it was so good -- even cold the next day.
Now back to routine in GA for a week and before company in Asheville.
Happy weekend. Later gators.
