Like clockwork, the Japanese beetles arrived and are eating everything. I'm throwing some nets over the plants today, but nets mean no pollinators either. Last year was the first year with the beetles. Seriously?!?! WHY????? They will continue to get worse every year and there's really nothing you can do about it.
I preemptively picked a few things yesterday. Not in the picture -- a spicy pepper and herbs I used in a bean and chickpea salad.

Hubby got rained out from pickle ball. We'll try as a group on Father's Day. I watched Shiny Happy People on Prime. Wow -- you knew it was messed up, but it's crazy town in that world. What's scary is they're rapidly infesting law enforcement, politics and the judicial system. It's all about power to the white man in the name of their lord. Very scary.
I have a pedicure at the new place this morning. Let's see if it's as good as it was the first time. Costco run too -- I need wine for this weekend and a bottle to paint tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the painting class.
Speaking of painting -- I need to get moving on PRIDE rocks and a couple of rocks hubby requested. Sometimes it's hard to get started. I have a few to finish up and a few more that I haven't even base painted. Best get moving on it.
