10 Days

Let the dog sitting begin!  I love my grand-dogs, but 10 days is a long time.  Everyone gets a little itchy.  Last night was the first night.  Hopefully, the kids have a fantastic trip in Hawaii.

I took a drive to a local antique store while the cleaning crew was here and I found a workbench for the rock painting.  It's an old wash station from a local GA farm estate.  Also found a wooden box for paints.  Repurposing things is so fun.

Monti and me hanging on the porch.

The English cucumbers from seed are struggling.  None of the plants are growing much and they're a pale green.  I'm not sure what I did wrong --  maybe took them outside too soon.  I'm going to replant seeds today.  A couple inside and a few outside.  It's still early enough to get some going.  The tomato plant is looking puny too -- wilty, but the flowers are still holding on.

The other plants look good so far.  Looks a zucchini is growing and maybe the start of a couple of regular cucumbers.  The jalapeño plant has a flower too.  I planted it with mint and the mint is taking over -- might need to move the mint.  Fingers crossed.

Figuring out watering and fertilizer is tough.  Gardening is one big experiment.  That's why it's an itty bitty garden again this year.  I won't go bigger until I have some of the things figured out.

Have a great Friday.  Later gators.
