Here's my 20 for 20 list -- highlights are complete. I got ahead of myself with the tiramisu since we bumped it to January (oops). More highlights than I expected considering it was 2020 AND I didn't review until late in the year.
The list items are a little funny to me. Curious why some made the list -- use the camera holder?? Bandolini. I guess because I bought something pricey and never remember to take it on a trip. The plan was to use it at Crater Lake.
Laziest fail was the master bedroom wall -- STILL working on this and it made the list for this year too. Ever other "fail" was related to the pandemic.
Some made the highlight based on wording -- "celebrate with high school friends." The plan was a trip to Italy, the reality was birthday zoom calls. But we connected and are still staying connected.
"Find the perfect dress." That snuck in too because the backup wedding outfit fits, my fancy dress was found (finally) and we had no other events. This is a picture of the backup dress from online -- I'll add a thin sparkle belt.
I finished my office ("other office"), but it's already changing again. When hubby retires, I'm taking out the bed and making a full sitting room.
Most proud of finishing the updated will and account list. Our estate planning is in order and that feels good. (BTW, that was a bump of unfinished from 2019.)
The BEST on the list is adopting Monti. He was my favorite thing from 2020.
My "new friend" came from a rescue adopter. It's a slow roll friendship, but I'm counting it. I've also become much friendlier with another foster. The pandemic has slowed both down, but it satisfies the idea behind "make a new friend."
My posture is LOADS better and that's practiced everyday during meditation.
I took a solo hike and it was fun (and scary -- got turned around, rolled my ankle). That might be my one and only solo hike.
"Landscape backyard" was on hold because of the pandemic, but we might not landscape because of snakes and our dogs. Still thinking on that. We did add sun shades to the back porch -- does that count??
"Wear the green dress." I did -- for about 20 minutes. No place to wear it, but the point was to fit into it. 2021 will be taking her out of the house LOL.
I have another list of things that I did BECAUSE of 2020. It's interesting to see both lists. That one I need to type because it was jotted down on a paper and not readable in picture form.
Making a year list is fun. Fun to do, fun to review. It can be ANYTHING -- as evidenced by this random list. I think the list is a little flat because so much of 2020 was suppose to be travel and weddings and family gatherings. That didn't leave much room for other things and I was reaching a little. I didn't want to put things on the list that were already planned.
That said, it's funny that I had no memory of what was on the list (or even where I put it) and yet, I did a lot of the list. Normally, I review it monthly, but I didn't look at it after February. I expected the entire list was a bust. Power of writing things down.
Still to come ... what I did in 2020, the list for 2021, top 5 changes I made and what not drinking for 4 months has shown me.
Stay well. Later gators.
