I've had a few wins in my battle to get back to ME and a few things I'm working on.
I'm taking stuff in stride - in a big way. Remember how the broken microwave practically sent me to the looney bin -- not anymore. Stuff happens and I don't get worked up over it. Slow driver who cut me off - no problem. Repair men who don't come - okay (I didn't even call the store). I don't really know why, but I'll take it. This chill version of ME feels better.
We are going away to DC for our anniversary in a few weeks. Meeting up with friends from PA and VA and it should be fun. There was question about including a friend and her husband for dinner one night (with mutual friends). Our past relationship with them as a couple has been rocky over the years. Without making this story super long, they've acted self-centered, the husband acts like he's been dragged along to the depths of hell ... and they're always late, always create some sort of drama. This is our trip and I don't want that headache. I decided not to invite them. No vendetta, no harsh feeling ... just honoring ME. Win.
I've identified my biggest issue with my poor eating habits lately. 3 meals. I feel best when there is no snacking and I eat 3 good meals. That is taking effect today. When that habit comes into practice, the other stuff just tags along. Soul searching paying off (hopefully!!!).
In my effort to say YES or put myself out there more, I offered up my house as a stop-gap lifting studio. I have a decent amount of equipment and we can give it a trial without expense or inconvenience. I don't know if it will happen, but I put it out there with a good response. Ideally, another solution will present, but if not, we have a temporary one. Saying YES.
Work in progress. Always.
Anyway, I had some pictures to share of Gismo in his new threads, but I can't find my connector cable. Stay tuned for those (hubby might have the cable with him).
Dentist this morning. Ugh. Lunch with a friend. Yea! A treadmill run before it all starts and that's my day. Later gators.
