Still Wedding Week ...

Wedding week continues.

I practiced wearing the boots for the rehearsal dinner which are actually a bit higher than the wedding heels and they're rough. I added relief pads on the inside and scuffed the outside and I think I'll be okay now. Look at me being a girly-girl and choosing fashion over comfort. Probably the only 2 nights of the rest of my life hah!!

Toast/speech is written and just needs to be practiced a few times every day and I'll be set. Hubby liked it.

I'll dance in my shoes today -- see the steps a little more and get one of the moves down that I can't seem to figure out which leg does what.

The earrings are in Atlanta -- can they make it here by Thursday? It's tight. The update says it left the Atlanta distribution center so maybe. I have a feeling they will arrive Friday after we leave for mid-town.

I'm sleeping like CRAP and I had a realization this morning -- too much caffeine in the afternoon kombuchas. I've been drinking a couple extra the last week and I bet that's the issue. Dang and double dang. Testing the theory today and going cold turkey. I wake up and have the worst time falling back to sleep. My mind races and that's a problem, but the wakeup is probably from the caffeine.

On a positive note -- it seems like I'm turning a fitness corner which I couldn't get around since my back injury. Both cardio and strength. I'm excited to keep going.

I planted a modified spring garden. Why not. The house hasn't sold so I'll see if I get any yield. I didn't do any enrichment to the soil because of the move, but it's probably okay. If things start growing, I'll add a bit of food in that area.

I finished this book and the ending was WHAT, wow?!?! Author did a great job of keeping it a surprise, but when revealed, it was set up nicely along the entire story. Creepy, odd, weird, horror, thought-provoking, and stuck the ending. And when I say ending -- I mean the final 2 sentences. It's a good "something different" book and worth it for the clever finish.

I started this little book from the library. Its's a book in translation from Japan. It's darling so far - absolutely love it. It's almost a novella length. Perfect reading this week, but I'll probably finish it today.

We have a broker open house and an inspection at the new house today. Both will eat up most of the day, but I'll still have time to practice the toast and dance and organize a few things ahead of packing.

My elderly and quite frail uncle has the flu so he and my aunt aren't coming to the wedding. Hopefully, everyone else stays healthy. I know this will stress the kids when they find out today, but it is what it is. Any changes are really hitting them -- sounds a little like me when I'm stressed. Believe me, it's better than him being sick at the wedding and them getting sick for their honeymoon.

That's the wedding update today. Hope you have a good one. Later gators.
