I'm making an effort to walk the walk. Do the things that I know make me feel better. I did that yesterday despite having a grizzly start.
Since I focused on so much of the "bad" yesterday, let me chat about the good.
☺ Peloton ride: I took it easy, but I think it actually helped my back a bit. It feels pretty good today. It felt good to get out of breath and work up a sweat.
☺ Girlfriend reached out about birthday plans. Those are on hold because of my schedule, but we're grabbing coffee tomorrow morning.
☺ I firmed up dinner plans in Paris with a friend while hubby has meetings. This feels super duper FS forward and very worldly lol.
☺ I booked the activities for our trip. Feels exciting now. I want to make a birthday plan for the day in Paris -- part of my secret HBD celebration. Dinner is set, but I have a whole day and another morning to wander. I have ideas ...
☺ I made a stir fry with garden veggies and a basil pesto that I made with the overload of basil from the garden. The standout -- peas. I'm not a pea lover, but fresh peas, just picked are delicious.
☺ I made plans with the kids this weekend and a trip to Asheville in August. Can't wait to get my hands on that sweet baby.
This morning is a slow, short hike. It's at a park with 18 creek crossings. There's another leader who does a harder, faster hike on these trails regularly. I want to make sure I can do the creek crossings before I try the more difficult one. This is a perfect tester -- especially since the water will be higher with the storms yesterday.
I have a quick turn around for a shower and heading to a class on pest (bug) control in the garden. I hope I get some beetle help.
Ending the day with a few errands and that'll be plenty.
Hope you're having a good week. Later gators.
P.S. Roof is an easy fix, but an expensive one. Of course. But it's in the works.
