Asheville, I Missed You

Asheville is showing up in all the right ways {knocks wood} -- and I swear to heaven just as I typed this the power went out and back on 30 seconds later. Geez. I needed to knock faster, I guess.

I set up the LFL with a quote jar, more seeds packets (very popular) and a few new books. I cleaned out some "junk" books someone left -- I'm a LFL snob. Only good books allowed -- not a diet book from 1990 lol.

I visited Black Mountain. It's a cute mountain town and I got a few gifts for upcoming birthdays. I also stopped at the local thrift store and got a Black Mountain shirt and an old mug for plant clippings -- $4 total. I'll wear the t-shirt in the fall under a blazer with jeans.

It's actually green -- the color is way off in this picture.
The quilt is blue in-person ... strange, but you get the idea.

On the drive over I stopped in historic Franklin at an Indie bookstore and coffee shop. It wasn't as interactive as last visit (the employees were busy doing some inventory), but I found a YA version of Alice in Wonderland. They didn't have the book I was planning to buy and I didn't get a chance to chat with anyone for an Indie book recommendation -- bummer. The cortado was excellent from the coffee place though. I got to stretch my back too.

I finished this book yesterday. In contention for top book of the year. Great writing, unique story, humanity questions/lessons.

I watched the group coaching call live, but I didn't have anything I wanted to be coached on -- I brainstormed on the drive over. I have issues lol, but I can coach myself enough on these things.

The plan for today is a walk to The Grove Park Inn. I'm exploring the walking route for when we have company (i.e. can we walk there, sidewalks, etc). It should be around 3 miles roundtrip -- want to see if my back holds up. Lunch with my neighbor and then a visit with my sister to see her new house. Of course, I'll try to get a teahouse run too -- I stopped for an hour yesterday.

Hope your week is going well. Later gators.
