Solo drive. Solo night. Nice way to ease into this trip. I plan to drive, check in and stay put for the night (maybe a walk around Harbour Town). I brought food so I don't need to rush to find a restaurant. When I went last December with my aunt we discovered not much for dinner in the immediate area. Plenty of meals to eat out coming this week.
I'm packed and ready. I won't leave until after rush hour since I can't check in until 4 o'clock (about a 6 hour drive).
Success at Trader Joe's.
All errands done and dusted. Anxiety is easing up.
Podcasted loaded for the drive. Holiday XM stations added to favorites. It's a little early for Christmas music, but feels right for this trip.
Focusing on things I want, not what I don't want.
Speaking of focusing, I write in a notebook each day -- little sketch of the day and 10 focus points (goals) I want to have in my life. I've suspected for a bit that our dog sitter was going to stop her business (marrying a sugar daddy lol). So I added "Dog Sitter" to that list. Yesterday, she called to say she's quitting. She had 2 other home sitters set up for me to use. I swear that writing what I want, every day calls things into being. I now have 2 options and I'm all set for the trip to AZ in December. I've been looking for a backup sitter for years with no luck. I added it to the list because it felt more urgent now. Faith that what I need finds me. Faith that what I desire is meant for me. I really have crazy faith in this list. I have an open space to add something else. Hmmmm ....
I'll finish the "great trip to HH" this week too. |
Local artist sells these notebooks. |
The list might seem silly, but each thing is a reminder of something that has a bigger picture message. It's a shorthand for that message.
Focusing this trip on #1 and #10. Both serve me well. "Something for FS today" is a permanent entry. #1 is my yearly motto.
Catch you in Hilton Head. Later gators.
