We walked the beach -- Hilton Head is one of my favorite beaches to walk because the sand is hard, but not a lot of ocean yuck to walk over. 5 miles. I ended up with a nasty blister from wet water shoes and sand, but it was worth it.

I hope we can go back again tomorrow (and I want to take my version of a polar plunge) before we head to Savannah for the day. We have an early morning today and an hour drive to Beaufort to visit my aunt and cousin. I didn't realize the drive was so long or I wouldn't have agreed to an early meetup. Live and learn.
We ate and shopped the rest of the day yesterday. I'll do some shopping pictures when I get home.

The only "mistake" yesterday was dinner. We came back to Harbour Town with the idea of grabbing a light dinner except nothing was open. I was hungry though. Dinner = wine, chocolate and cheese. I'm paying the price this morning. Not a happy combination for me and I feel every sip-bite of it this morning.
We started "dinner" at The Members Club (we have access for the week) but it's drinks only. Incredible sunset view and the entire place to ourselves.

Plans are a bit up in the air today with rain in the mid-day forecast. I'll see if I can take a short jog before we go this morning -- just something to rally, but time is tight. There's a nice flat walking path through the plantation. Needless to say, I'll be stopping for something better for dinner tonight. One and done -- lesson noted again.
It's been a super nice trip so far. Laughing like crazy, meaningful conversations too. Hilton Head this time of years is very nice -- I'll remember this for future trips.
Later gators.
