This continues to be a wacky week.
Hubby was home yesterday (that's why no post) because the company received a threat in the mail. An employee's brother wrote a letter saying his brother was ill and planning on killing several people at work. Detectives and security and lawyers and everything in-between. They are back at work with no resolve yet. The employee is suspended with pay while they figure out what's going on.
And RAIN! Everywhere on the up and down the coast. Normally I love a rainy day, but the series of 6 in a row is problematic. No long dog walks (so dogs bouncing off the walk), pain-in-the-butt for grocery shopping, yard is a sloppy mess (therefore, my floors are a sloppy mess).
We need to trial Jack in an urban setting for a possible adoption. We have an eat-play-live "town" that's dog friendly -- it's a close match to the type of area they live. I took him in the rain and he did great, but no other dogs to see, etc. They are coming Sunday to see him and it's suppose to pour through Saturday night.
Youngest moved home officially Tuesday and by Tuesday night a big argument between hubby and youngest (hubby throwing some serious shade to him). We had a long talk and things are okay now. Hubby and youngest have always gone head-to-head. Our youngest gave us a serious run for the money growing up and hubby can't let it go. 4 years of college, graduating with honors and a whole lot of maturing -- time to see him in a different light.
What does this mean ... STRESS!! So I ate like crap again. Honestly, there are no words. What the hell is wrong with me?! This 5 month Project Healthy Body can't start soon enough. Beating a dead horse. I hope by tomorrow to report better things. Up and down and up and down ...
In better news ... Absentia was GREAT! The ending was chilling! It's renewed for a second season (Amazon Prime).
In even better news ... massage today! April is magic with her back massage. I just need to have a really good sweat before I go - too much salt yesterday and I'll have a flop sweat on the table if I don't work it out.
My toes are happy too. A light denim blue. Usually I wait too long and some of my nails tear (from running shoes). Then they're uneven and sometimes painful in the corners. I've been moving up the pedicure and it's working well. My fingers are long and clicking away at the keyboard though. It's been 3 weeks - I'm stretching it to next week (hopefully). I think ONE more SNS before the break. I want nice nails for the pictures. Maybe I'm addicted??
Speaking of pictures, did I tell you about my Stitch Fix?? I can't remember. I asked for summer dresses and long necklaces. The only criteria is that the dresses were below the knee. I got 3 dresses ABOVE the knee, one necklace and a jean jacket. I love the necklace and jean jacket. I have another "fix" coming next week asking AGAIN for dresses. Fingers crossed.
I have a book recommendation from the Today Show. "Gift from the Sea" -- Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I'll start it soon (probably at my hair appointment Monday). Timeless, wise words. It might become another "gifted" title this holiday season! I'm curious if it resonates with me. It's a little, small book.
I missed another boxing day today. The dogs are playing super rough (Duke is the problem child) and I don't want to leave them without my youngest awake. Home gym today.
Let's try to stay dry and have a HEALTHY day! Can it be done?!?! Good lord, I'm trying. Later gators.
