It's all relative.

This week continues to be a doozer.

I headed out with the dogs on Friday and promptly rolled my ankle to a fall.  I'm now nursing a twisted ankle ... swelling, bruising, etc.  It's not horrible (I've had worse) but it's enough to keep me off of it for the near future.  Dang.

Then I learned an former neighbor in VA had passed away suddenly.  She was healthy, young, energetic and a beautiful person.  My heart is sad for her family.  It's a reminder to LIVE your BEST life!!  Sudden losses are a big slap of perspective.

Today, Jack has a meeting with a potential adopter.  This is his 4th meeting ... fingers crossed for the little guy.  Remember this nutty week ... between the rain, my ankle and the ONE weekend of the summer there is no Farmer's Market -- it was't easy to "test" Jack in crowded settings, but we did and he did FANTASTIC!  Go Jack!!

Good-bye to this week and hello to a better one!

Eating is back in control (no choice on that with limited exercise options).  Of course, it's PMS week so it will be a challenge ... but pictures this weekend so I'm motivated!

Speaking of exercise, I need to figure out what I can do.  Lifting is a good option, but it doesn't give me the hard sweat I need on PMS week.  It's so tempting to push my ankle, but I know the best thing is REST.  Ugh.  That's hard.  I'm so annoyed that I did that - a few wet leaves took me out.  It's on the mend, so patience and more patience.

When I had my off-the-wagon episode (ha ha), I noticed I completely threw out my evening routine.  Tony Robins and most gurus talk about the importance of routine.  I have a great morning routine (always have - comes naturally for me) and I have a sucky evening routine.  That's where all my efforts go and I totally gave it up last week.  Why??  Again, who knows, but what took me back to HEALTHY habits was going back to that routine.  Sit-down dinner, reading, cup of tea, closing the kitchen, etc.  My focus this week is the EVENING ROUTINE.

I'll finish my book tonight (100 year old man) - still don't love it, but it's not horrible.  I'm almost finished.  Hair appointment tomorrow and I'm starting Gift from the Sea.  Review to follow :-) AND I get to use my new readers that tilt and bend so that I can read with foils in my hair!!  They arrived 2 days after my last hair appointment.  It's the small things!

I need to hit the grocery store for a big shop and cook-up (what a difference having my son home - food is GONE).  I'm hoping my ankle can manage soon.  It's slim pickings!

I've been really lazy about transferring pictures to my computer so I can post them.  The transfer is easy, but then they don't show up until I restart my computer.  And my computer is acting funny and the start-up takes forever.  I probably need to take it to the Apple Store, but I probably won't until it gets worse.  Yep - sounds totally like what I'll do.  I'll post some picture next week because pictures are always fun!  Get off my lazy train for a minute LOL.

Later gators.
