I'm getting caught up. Let's do a list ... no particular order.
1. My cucumber plants have a fungus. Dang it! I'll have to do a direct sow in a couple of weeks. Mottled leaves are the indicator and I learned a bunch about Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV). It's not just for cucumbers. I think this is what gets my tomato plants too. I'm looking for something to prevent it ... maybe neem oil?? Nothing to do but toss the plants.
2. Finally got my car serviced. 90 minute appointment took 5 hours due to staffing. Thankfully, hubby picked me up. That was hanging over my head -- rescheduled twice for this very reason that it rarely takes the time they promise.
3. My visiting aunt brought me a box of family items. I feel full of trinkets and dishes, but I found uses for most of these. I'm going to offer some to my sister when she moves to Asheville.

4. Books. I read a couple that were so-so and I don't have pictures. I finished this last night. It was okay. I thought I'd like it way more -- the beginning was really good, but I lost interest around the halfway mark.
I chose from these last night. Both are favorites (and mentioned frequently) on the Currently Reading Podcast.

5. Booked a few excursions for our trip to Switzerland and Italy. I think post-pandemic, there aren't as many options. I have a bunch of research to do for exploring on our own too -- library holds for a few travel guides to get my bearings. And Switzerland is shockingly expensive!
6. Lunch with aunts and uncle and the baby was great. This was on the board in the restaurant. I love finding little moments of kindness and caring.
7. My aunt gave me a ton of water painting supplies. She was gifted a kit -- someone won it and won't use it and she doesn't need it. Adding painting to something crafty this summer. All I need is some water color paper and tape.
8. I have a fast evening hike with a different hike leader today. I'm trying to step into the next level of hiking. Fingers crossed I can keep up the pace. The group goes to an optional dinner after, but I'm passing -- too late for me.
That's a catch up on my catch up. I'm still in recovery mode. It was a lot of social stuff the first quarter of the year -- ending with that big old 10 (11) day stretch. Home feels good. Solitude feels good. Regrouping and planning the next quarter. Two big trips, Asheville travel too, but I want space and time for gardening, hiking, crafting, Spanish, etc. Still FUTURE ME stuff, but the home addition lol.
Hope your week is going well. Watching for the cold snap -- my poor garden. It's up and functional and no success on the actual plants. I'm not giving up though. Picking a few greens today. Later gators.
