Easter was a lot of fun. We walked in the park with the kids and our grandson. We're a family of 7 now and it's so nice when we can all be together.
The afternoon at my aunt's was as expected -- she's a fabulous host and we had a fun time with the extended family. The food?? Not my cup of tea -- but you don't go to my aunt's for the food, you go for the fun. Her husband made TONS of food ... all southern dishes. Green beans that are unrecognizable, sweet potatoes that are so sweet your teeth ache, cheese with pineapple and cracker casserole ... that kind of thing. Not bad, just not me.
I was so tired by the time we got home. Today is loosely an add-on to the 10 days. Taking the aunts and uncle and kids out for an outside lunch so family can meet the baby. I don't have to do any work so that's why it's loosely another day. I need a whole bunch of time to get my life back in order and I would've loved a full day today, but this will be nice and I have mostly clear road ahead this week.
What do I need to catch up on, you didn't ask??
Garden -- lots to do, especially getting the flower seeds going.
Trips -- I need to book the details of our May trip.
Paperwork -- bills to pay, things to organize ... the usual monthly stuff for a new month.
Food -- on empty. Trader Joe's today for a restock and a cook-up this week.
Me stuff -- hiking, crafting, reading, etc. All on the calendar this week.
Nothing too crazy, but as a whole it leaves me feeling unorganized and behind. I don't think it'll take too much to get caught up, but I need to have some chunks of time dedicated to these things.
On that note, time to get moving -- I need to tend to the grow room before my day gets going. I have a short morning so I can get to the restaurant and reserve an outside table.
Some updates coming -- books, vintage boxes from my aunt, garden progress, wedding updates.
Hope you're set for a good week. Later gators.
