Surprisingly Good Sunday

Usually transition days are dumpy days, but yesterday was surprisingly good.

I had a good Peloton ride with a new cool down that's an instant favorite.  Hard workouts elevate my mood like nothing else.  I did a longer meditation too.  That set me up for HAPPY all day.

My girlfriend and I ended up walking which felt great too.  It was chilly and blustery -- just the kind of walk that feels good to move to stay warm.  We chatted about a lot of feel good topics and I finished feeling filled with friendship (corny, but true).

She loaned me The Four Winds (Kristin Hannah) and I started it last night.  It's going to be a good one.

I watched (sort of between dog stuff and text messages) ... the Brittany Spears documentary on Hulu.  It was eye-opening how many people treated her poorly for so many ridiculous reasons.  Not surprised she had a breakdown or two.  Who knows what her current situation is, but it seems like certain things should change.

I'm feeling pretty crappy from my monthly.  I was awake at 11 o'clock and didn't go back to sleep until after 1 o'clock.  Not the best night, but I have NOTHING today so I guess it doesn't matter.  Still hurting this morning.  I wanted an outside run, but the weather has other thoughts.  Rainy, windy all day.  Tomorrow is a high in the 30s so my toes say nope for tomorrow.  Might do some swapping so I can run outside on Wednesday (looks like the only morning warm enough this week).

I have some goodies to chat about, but as usual, I didn't take pictures.  The lighting is extra bad without outside light, so stay tuned.

I need to fill my week in some way to be productive.  Empty days feel nice on paper, but the reality is I get bored and start snacking by late afternoon if I have NOTHING all day.  Given the workout situation, I think I'm going to rework my schedule to give me some better options.  I'll see what I can figure out.

Let's make this week a happy one -- stay well.  Later gators.
