Hello from Asheville. I made it.
Am I sick?? Still hard to say. I feel a lot better this morning so I'll see how I feel tomorrow. If I think I'm sick at all, I won't go and see my grandson (dang it!).
Rain yesterday. Rain today. It's a wash, but I'm still bopping around. I hit the teahouse (of course) and then a quick walk through the antique market because I had more time on my parking meter.
Look at these two cuties. Basket is from Portugal and mug is vintage Starbucks from 2008 (early purchase for grandson when he comes to Asheville). It'll be really vintage by the time he can drink from it and he'll enjoy the animals.
Today is a mash up of lots of things. Cleaning, sheets, Trader Joe's, Goodwill, teahouse and a little gardening.
I finished "Iron Flame" -- not as good as the first, but I liked it. Turns out it's 2 of eventually 5 books. I think book 3 is promising (I read an interview with the author). Book 2 was a little bit of a set up book and far too long with all the battle details. I thought it was the conclusion of the series and that felt a little disappointing.
I'm starting this at the teahouse today. I have 3 library books waiting. Two are non-fiction. One is from a podcast so I'll probably skim read it, but 2 are full reads. I need to finish this one quickly. It looks like a fast read and I'm excited for it. Expecting some garden and nature inspiration as we are ready for spring in GA.
Quiet morning in Asheville. This is one of my favorite things about a solo trip -- quiet mornings.
Tomorrow is a very early start (and the time change -- bugger). I'll get up, shower and head home -- unless I think I'm sick. Then I might stay another day to avoid hubby getting exposure. He's leaving on a business trip on Friday and won't want to get sick. My throat feels back to normal (it was really sore yesterday), but I might have some head congestion. Hard to say in the morning since I'm usually snotty until I get moving. Are you glad to have that visual?!? lol I'm negative for COVID.
Have a happy Saturday. Later gators.
