Fun Day

Yesterday was a fun day.  Rain ended up being a non-issue and we got to do all the things we planned.

First -- big mama bear and her two cubs arrived outside the house just after we got in from taking the dogs out in the morning.  There are a few berry trees they like to eat this time of year.  Not a great picture because of the window screens.  It was fun to watch her with the cubs, but you stay clear of a mama bear (!!)

Next -- a long walk off the mountain, but mama and her cubs had the same idea.  We kept our distance after someone mentioned she was walking around.  Dogs took turns in the stroller.  It helps -- 2 are very old with heart issues and June has a hurt shoulder.  We are able to take longer walks again with a stroller option.

Downtown and lunch at a vegan restaurant with full kombucha bar (and regular bar).  They just moved locations and it has a nice patio now.  I forgot to take a picture of the BEST strawberry cake I've had -- maybe ever.  And it was vegan and GF.   Hubby was a good sport since this is NOT his thing.  

We did a porch sit for Bold Rock, a walk to pickup takeout for me from my other favorite vegan restaurant and home.  

We played cards for a couple of hours -- hubby and I lost EVERY round of Euchre lol.  Takes awhile to learn strategies.  

Everyone else got awesome BBQ -- I made a good decision to pass since it was all gluten goodness with no other options.

We watched the 2 episodes of the Lord of the Rings prequel on Prime and off to bed.  

It's been a great weekend.  Hope you're having fun too.  I'll update on FS stuff -- it's a mixed bag.  Later gators.
