Not Bad, Could Be Better

Yesterday was fun, but it wasn't a future-self kind of day. I usually incorporate SOMETHING FS everyday -- especially on a trip. It's easy to do at this point, but I fell short. The upside is I'm sure to focus more on FS today.

What happened? Well, lots of hormones left me feeling really physically awful. The thrifting trips were a little lost on me because I felt crappy -- low energy, headache, etc. My usual thrifting spirit was missing haha. I didn't pay a lot of attention, just moved through the motions.

I got extremely hungry before a late lunch -- the time difference sneaks up and hormones added a layer of "extreme." We ate at a Mexican restaurant and I ate chips, salsa and guacamole -- not a veggie to be found (unless you technically count salsa lol). After lunch I got a dairy-free frozen yogurt with toasted coconut. Not exactly a nutritional day. The downside is that doesn't do much for feeling better. I wasn't concerned about it from a "diet" standpoint (I guess that's a FS little win).

I also barely moved my body. We came back from the day and I chose to sit on the sofa instead of go for a walk. I didn't feel well, but I wonder if a walk would've helped.

A few little things too. I didn't pack my Yeti cup (mistake) and I'm having to use plastic cups. I carried a small purse so I didn't bring my reusable shopping bag. Both are little things that bug me these days. Small efforts add up.

That said, we had a fun family day. Lots of laughs and good conversations.

The morning was a short walk for coffee and a sit by the fire with hubby. Mornings are crisp and cold. No animal sightings.

Thrifted items.

Rounded glass, pretty table frame.
I'll use it in Asheville for a baby picture.

Little terracotta planter.
$2. I like the color.

I'm changing some things up today. Starting the day with a morning walk (activity - check). I'll find veggies somewhere, somehow (check). I'm bringing a bigger purse so I can carry a reusable bag (check). I'm also going to pay attention. I feel more myself this morning so far, so WALK UNTIL THE DAY BECOMES INTERESTING is back in play.

Hubby is golfing. My nephew and roommate are working so it's just 4 of us today exploring a couple of local towns.

Hope you're having a good week. Later gators.
