I'm on a sweet spot with books right now and have a chunk of good reads piling up. On a side note -- I might clear my unread pile a bit and retire some books I don't want to read anymore. Sometimes I look at the stack and feel guilty which isn't necessary. I'll donate to MY Little Free Library once that IS up and running this spring and someone else can love them.
But back to right now.
I finished this from the library. Recommended by Brooke Castillo. Interesting points and I took what felt right to me. I didn't agree with everything for my situation (he's crazy rich), but some things to consider. Worth the read to remind yourself WHY you save money and remember to live your life.
Another library book. It promises the most uplifting story. Yep -- I'm all for that now. I'll read this next.
Current read that I expected to skim and not really enjoy, but was curious about the Appalachian Trail (not to hike, but I've been to the start of it in GA). I love this book. The author is funny and the story is very interesting.
Old school small paperback with lots of wear and tear. |
This is a daily passage book -- with dates so I started the book on the January 30 page. It's travel inspiration and I'm enjoying a daily book. In another synchronicity, the first passage I read quotes a bookclub book for March. Never heard of the book and now it's showing up here (Between Two Kingdoms -- Suleika Jaouad)
It's a companion to his original book. Tim Ferris says it's his favorite book of all time (he talks about it regularly) and I listened to his interview with the author. Used copy that I'll check out. Maybe a skim read, but you never know. I'll give it a full go -- Tim hypes this book like I've never heard someone hype a book (expect maybe Oprah with a few of her bedside books). If that's not reason to read a book ...
Another heavily recommended book that gets mentioned over and over by people in the helping space.
My mother sent these to me -- she's trying to makeup after the "issue." Beautiful books. Jane Eyre was a childhood read and I still have my original copy.
The book matches the tray -- not so much in the picture though because it's not pulling the gold |
Since it's a pouring-rain-all-day day, I should get some good reading time. So many books (!!)
Later gators.
