SNS is good-bye and I'm not sure I'm getting it back on for vacation in November. It feels so good to have it off. It's hard to find a tech who can do a thin application and too thick feels heavy and makes my nail beds pulse. Since I'll be checking a big bag (Hawaii), I think I'll pack nail polish and remover pads instead. And, SNS is so expensive! On and off.
I hit up Target with candy corn success! I got a few cleaning supplies and called it a day. I didn't cross the line into home decor because I know me. Mums will need to wait too -- lunch was calling so I headed home.
Today starts a build up to busier. First up is a kitchen day. Cooking chili and falafel with a sauce. Both are easy to make but take awhile and make a big mess. Also, making dessert (TBD) and figuring out cake plans for DIL's birthday next week. I'll be heating padding it up this evening.
This morning is our high school group call -- 5 of us. We skipped my birthday call because June was busy for most with plans to do a summer call instead. Didn't happen so we are set for the final birthday call of the year for the 2 of the girls. Setting this up wasn't without hiccups but I spoke up AGAIN and I'm proud to include my voice. Change the day and time last minute because you don't want to be rushed in the morning (even though SHE set the date and time) ... nope, doesn't work for me. I made plans once we set the day and I won't change them and I won't apologize. Hiking with hubby tomorrow morning and I could change that up, but given her reason and last minute, I won't. Nothing changed on her end and she was adamant Sunday wasn't an option so we all agreed to Saturday ... FOR HER.
Anyway ... gets me riled up. I'm still learning how to speak up without such strong feelings of annoyance. I didn't pass that along in the messaging, but I'm turning it over and over in my head. It's hard when it's not something I've done most of my life. Old me would've changed MY plans, been annoyed and said nothing.
Okay, enough energy to this -- remember FUN lol!! Have a good Saturday. Later gators.
