First -- those sweet dogs. Such a sad, misunderstood situation. Elderly couple got an unaltered female. A neighbor's male dog jumped the fence and it began. Litter after litter. No vet care, no human contact. Family doesn't speak English at all -- it's their adult son who contact the rescues after his parents were reported. Food and water left out for the dogs at night. A shed covered in poop -- you couldn't breath inside. You could taste the smell long after you left - so gross and horrible living conditions for the dogs.
For the love of God -- spay and neuter your pets. As the saying goes -- how do you save hundreds of dogs? Spay YOUR dog.
They are all sweet (not aggressive) but scared to death of people. We caught all but one who jumped the fence and gave us a middle finger on the way out (he's old and already came back to the property). One female is pregnant and others might be too.
Three rescues took all but the one escapee. The question is will they ever enjoy the company of people. Hard to say. Probably the younger ones will, but the older ones will likely be like an aloof cat. It was a learning situation for me -- how to capture feral dogs. Took hours and a team of about 10 people.

Also, I ended up being able to go to The Course in Miracles class. I realized the timing was fine and I didn't need to choose. It was adventure though and not a great class.
The building where it's held has water and newly discovered mold issue so we had to search for space in the main building. This church is packed all Sunday with lots of services and classes. We ended up in the coffee meeting area which was so loud you couldn't hear yourself speak.
The woman who runs it was out of town and the "back-up" was in the hospital. One of the "controversial" ladies was asked to take over. The group was collectively ANNOYED at her -- she changed the lesson, the format, EVERYTHING. She cut people off while they were talking, ignored certain hands and decided to pitch her agenda of a new initiative in the church INSTEAD of the circle closing. When asked to do the circle closing she said NO. Ouch. People left in a big huff -- no hugging happening after that (!!)
I used to work with a woman like that -- loves to take over and do things another way -- like she can't wait to "make it better." Power is a dangerous thing - hah.
The learning for me was more about watching the interactions of the people without a calming leader (since I couldn't hear much anyway). I still like the class, but I want to start going to the services again too. Especially, if things are jumbled for the next few months -- mold is no joke, probably a long term problem.

I feel better this morning. Not on a steady stream of cold medicine anymore. I need to get back to outside running later this week (too cold with an earache).

Caught up with Brooke Castillo podcasts on the drive yesterday. Nothing earth shattering. I think she's reaching lately. Still -- it's my favorite podcast overall.

Now, I AM reaching for things to say LOL. I was excited to start this Monday -- less excited now that it IS Monday. Funny how that works. Time to start some REGULAR life stuff today. Later gators.
