It's crisp, cold and clear skies this morning - hello, winter my old friend!
Can I tell you about the hell that was shoe shopping yesterday? Honestly, I want to retire my girl-card and be finished with fashion.

I can walk in them SLOWLY. |

They would be great with the red dress if they weren't so high. |
I now own 2 dresses and one pant jumper. Nothing is a home run. If it's comfortable, I have no shoes. If I have shoes, it's fussy and not super comfortable - and have no evening bag. I don't have fancy stuff. I have a stash of summer dresses, but nothing for winter.
On my semi-failed search for shoes, I walked into White House Black Market and they picked out the pant jumper. It's cute but needs mega smoothing garments. I need to see if I have the right ones. Long black pants so shoes are easy - they are shoes I've had for 18 years!! I remember I got them the winter I turned 30 (I remember the occasion). Me and shoes are a THING!! I really HATE shoe shopping.

Here are the outfits. The middle dress is for Friday night holiday work dinner. |
My problem with shoes is ... well ... lots of things. My feet are wide. I can't walk in heels. My legs are a shade of pale that is shocking and without tights/hose, I'm screwed. I have fancy flip flops for summer and all is well. Winter is a problem.
I gave up and am taking a breather from shopping. Something will go on my feet. Having 2 fancy nights IN A ROW necessitates TWO outfits. UGH. HELP ME!! Don't event get me started on jewelry!

Let's talk other things.
I didn't take pictures of the Christmas decorations yet. Coming, but (again) it's pretty much the same as last year.
I didn't go to boxing yesterday. When I looked at the schedule, there was an instructor switch and it worked well to rest yesterday and box today. Even power walking the dog had my legs aching. It was a good decision.
We have a run-off election in GA today, so voting, boxing and getting packages ready to mail. I have so many rescue calls to make this afternoon too. Plugging along with my schedule, trying to stay a little ahead because there is no wiggle room.
I'm taking the pace down a little today. I felt the STRESS yesterday and it wasn't good. Hubby had a work trip on the calendar, but wrote it the wrong week. He's in town now. Good and bad. Help with dogs, but that means I need to figure out dinners.
P.S. Having song lyrics makes my "title" so easy! It's working much better than my moto -- All is Calm and All is Bright LOL!! (I made my moto my watch-face and it's a constant reminder ... not sure if that's good though given my lack of success with it!) Later gators.
