Better

The hike was the cure for what ailed me. BTW -- oura ring thinks my period is coming (me too) so hormones are wonky.

I hiked 9 hard miles with 2400 feet elevation and it was humid. It's technical, fun, mostly climb or decent (very few flats as it switches). I stopped on the way home at a coffee shop recommended by a friend -- it was delicious coffee and super cute. Very nice morning. I remembered to take pictures.

I got asked over and over for directions and information on the hike -- more than I ever have. I like chatting with people and this is a hike I know well. Also wore a pride shirt and got a lot of comments on it. Happy Pride for sure!

My headspace is a bit better about the cancels for the chai class. Remembering "it was always supposed to happen this way" is helping. It prompted me to invite my DIL's mother along and I don't know why I didn't think to ask her before. Tomorrow is her 60th birthday and she doesn't have local friends yet, so this works out really well to have some fun with her the day after.

The coaching program has a call this morning and I wrote in for help about the new person in our hiking group who I don't like. I'm in for coaching if there's time. She goes in order of requests.

Today is a homebody-ish day. I'm planning to organize a storage room, paint some rocks, get into a new book  -- quiet, productive, fun. I might also throw in a walk to the coffee shop. My hiking friend's birthday is also tomorrow and I'm hiking with her. I need a little something to give her -- gift card if they have them. I planned to get her chocolate in Asheville, but we postponed our trip. I don't want to start gift giving per se but since I'm seeing her on her actual birthday, I want to give a little something.

Hope you're having a good weekend. Later gators.
