I had a super good Asheville day.
I walked most of the house tour -- the first day was better, but this was nice too. One house had a private chef making canapés and another had a full spread with wine. Fancier day.
I skipped 2 of the houses, but rode the trolley to see the neighborhood.
There was an open house for another historic home, so I toured that at the end. Finished up, and walked to the teahouse for a second time. Now that I know I have decaf options, later afternoon is fine. I got a small plate board for dinner too. Finished a book that was recommended by my hairdresser.
Sweet story with a mysterious main character -- all revealed in the end. |
I'm torn between leaving first thing or sticking around for breakfast before I head home (restaurant opens at 9 o'clock). My stomach is a bit wonky this morning so it might be better to eat when I get back.
It was a good weekend. On the feast or famine schedule, September is a feast, but I'm remembering to have fun. We're back in Asheville on Thursday for a family weekend. Quick turn around.
Have a good Monday. Later gators.
