Yesterday was as predicted -- joyful chaos.
We had a great time. I absolutely cannot get enough of my grandson. He's just so much fun. We played trucks and stickers and danced to Wheels on the Bus and other cool bangers such as Purple Monkey (a crowd favorite).
He likes me to put him in his carseat (no idea why). Having him reach out for me to hold him is joy like I can't describe.
We're all gathering for brunch a local cafe down the road from us. It'll be another moment of family crazy makes the best memories. The little cousins are wearing matching shirts so it'll be a photoshoot kind of morning.
I'll leave you with this spider web picture. Webs were all over the signs at the Farmer's Market -- heavy rain and morning dew covered made them so pretty. They were hard to photograph though -- this is the best one, but it doesn't do it justice. No visible spiders though -- phew.
I ate my body weight in cookies and Rice Krispy treats. Everything GF for my DIL and I fell hard. My HRV stat (usually around 50) was 15. Good lord in heaven -- do better. Sorry to my body for that detour to sugar land. It'll be a hard withdraw today.
Kids will hit the road after brunch. I'll zip to the teahouse (probably) and then clean and turn the house over while hubby watches football (he did all the yard work ahead of them coming).
For now, it's quiet. I'm the first up to get the morning ready -- coffee, toast for early risers, etc. Windows open -- even too early for the birds to chirp yet.
Have a good day. Later gators.
