Asheville bears are in full force. This guy comes everyday to eat the tree nuts outside our house. I saw him last trip and our neighbor said he's a regular.
I set up a little fairy house village on our stone wall. These were some of the first rocks I painted -- all from one particular park that has this shaped rock. I've had it inside for years, but decided to put a little fun out in the yard.
Hubby cleaned up the yard and set up for the kids. We don't keep the chairs out because of the bears and I'm often too lazy to bring them out. Nice to sit outside this trip. It's so pretty. The stone wall gives us privacy and the trees are amazing. They're dropping nuts now so we sit at our own risk -- they clunk when they hit your head.

He found a yard angel I put out years ago and it got buried in leaves. The face is gone and it's all messy -- fits the old house perfectly now. Our little haunted angel.
Didn't get to the teahouse yesterday, but it's on my list today. It was more of a chore day than a vacation day -- but I'm making sure I get a mix of both for the rest of the trip. Tomorrow will be mass chaos in the best-ish kind of way.
Windows open, Merlin app open ... learning bird sounds. Crow, robin, eastern Towhee so far.
Have a good day and a good start to the weekend. Later gators.
